City of Vacaville Public Works Department Environmental Guide and
Training: Vacaville, California.
Developed a seventy-six page handbook for the
City of Vacaville Public Works Department with information to facilitate
compliance with their Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the
California Department of Fish and Game (CDFG), Region 2. The MOU
covers maintenance activities conducted within natural and manmade
stream channels and riparian habitats, and other adjacent habitats.
The guide provides an overview of federal, state and local regulations,
profiles (with photos) of sensitive species potentially present
in their work areas, an overview of archeological resource issues,
and standard best management practices and agency contacts. The
guide was also used as a basis for classroom training of maintenance
personnel. Click

the City of Livermore Beautification Committee. The committee wished
to restore the site to a native oak savannah habitat similar to
what had existed prior to disturbance (the project area had been
utilized as a gravel pit and almond farm since the 1930s).

Parks RFTA HMU Sensitive Species
Habitat Design Project: Alameda County, California.
Managed the engineering and design process of
a water conveyance system for two ponds that contained the federally
endangered California red-legged frog. The purpose of the project
was to establish a system to reduce water levels in the ponds to
a depth that would manage populations of bullfrogs (predators of
red-legged frogs) and restore and maintain populations of California
red-legged frogs.
