City of Vacaville Public Works Department Environmental Guide and Training: Vacaville, California.

Developed a seventy-six page handbook for the City of Vacaville Public Works Department with information to facilitate compliance with their Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the California Department of Fish and Game (CDFG), Region 2. The MOU covers maintenance activities conducted within natural and manmade stream channels and riparian habitats, and other adjacent habitats. The guide provides an overview of federal, state and local regulations, profiles (with photos) of sensitive species potentially present in their work areas, an overview of archeological resource issues, and standard best management practices and agency contacts. The guide was also used as a basis for classroom training of maintenance personnel. Click here for sample pages from the guide.
